About the World Walleye Association
The World Walleye Association was established in 1999 with the vision of leading tournament fishing into the next millennium. The executive director of the World Walleye Association is Steve Poll. The World Walleye Association's team tournament circuit's are designed by fishermen for fishermen. Therefore, we encourage your feedback.
The World Walleye Association is also a strong supporting member of
the
National Professional Anglers
Association (NPAA).

Teams:
Teams consist of two partners, Teams may use
one substitute that may fish with either team member. Any
substitutes may only fish for one team per season. NO EXCEPTIONS!
One-Day Divisional Qualifiers
Divisional qualifiers are open to all current WWA members. Each entry must be
accompanied by a $180 entry fee if received 2 days prior to the event. Entries received
later than days 2 prior to the event is $200.00 (no exceptions).
Points:
Each qualifier event is worth 400 total points.
Points decrease in two point increments by place of finish for teams
weighing fish. 10 points will also be awarded for each fish weighed. Entered teams that do not weigh fish are awarded 100
show points
Open Events
Open events are open to all current WWA members. Each entry must be
accompanied by a $180 entry fee if received 2 days prior to the event.

Regional Championships
All teams fishing a minimum of
1 events in their division qualify to
enter their two-day Regional Championship. Regional Championship
entry fees are $300.00, with an entry deadline 10 days prior to the
start of the tournament.
Points: The regional championship event is worth a
total of 800 points. Points decrease in four point increments by place of finish for
teams weighing fish. 10 points will also be awarded for each fish
weighed . Entered teams not weighing fish are awarded 200 show points.
WWA National Championship (no entry fee, invitation only)
The top 20 point scoring teams from each region will advance to the
WWA Team Challenge National Championship
to be held in the Spring of 2009 (exact location and date TBA). Other ways to qualify for the
National Championship are:
- Top-five finish in Regional Championship
- Previous year's National Champions
- Reigning WWA National Team of the Year
- Divisional Teams of Year that compete in the regional
championship.
There is no entry fee for the National Championship.

More Information:
Each tournament is limited to 100 teams per event unless noted
otherwise. North Dakota events are limited to 45 boats max due to
permit restrictions. All World Walleye Association tournaments are
Cabela's NTC
qualifying events.
