GIBBS AND FRANK WIN WWA NORTH DAKOTA TEAM
CHALLENGE EVENT

Kill Deer, ND- Mike Gibbs and Aaron Frank won the third stop in
the World Walleye Association North Dakota Team Challenge division
held at McKinzie Bay Marina on Lake Sakakawea June 22nd, 2003.
Gibbs and Frank trolled Reef Runner crankbaits in Spotted Frog
and Cotton Candy colors along a 12-27 foot breakline off of Independence
Point. Their five fish limit weighing 24.83-pounds also included
the big fish of the tournament which weighed 8.44-pounds. Larry
Zimmerman and Dennis Andruski, winners of the Devils Lake Team
Challenge event continued their successes by placing second with
15.8-pounds. They were trolling crankbaits in the Upper Van Hook
Arm of the lake. Steve and Jim Monson placed third with a 12.39-pound
basket of walleyes. They too were fishing in the Independence
Point area. "The WWA would like to thank Pat and Rhonda of McKinzie
Bay Marina for all their help and support." stated Steve Poll,
Executive Director of the WWA. " They were a big part of the success
