The husband and wife team of Scott and Tammy Duncan won the third stop on the World Walleye Association Illinois Chain Team Challenge Sunday, June 12th on the Fox Chain.

Scott and Tammy had a total weight of 13.17 pounds and the second place big fish of the tournament weighing 7.34-pounds.

Keeping the family theme going was the father and son team of Bob and Jasen Schine finishing second with a total weight of 9.59 ­ pounds that included the big fish of the tournament weighing 7.39-pounds.

The intensity of the competition was magnified since for most of the day the Duncan¹s and the Schine¹s were fishing next to each other. Teams were allowed six fish limits with four fish between 14-18 inches and two over 24 inches. Tammy managed to catch their second fish over 24 inches with just minutes to go before they had to leave for weigh in ensuring the victory.

David Lemeke and Patrick Seibert placed third weighing 5.98 pounds.

Jeff Miller, Tournament Director of the WWA Illinois Chain Team Challenge, had this to say about the tournament. "It's pretty cool when a family team wins a tournament and we had both a husband and wife and a father and son team at the top. This was Scott and Tammy's first win as husband and wife competitors."

Miller added, "I would also like to congratulate Jeff Pankow on his 6th place finish. Jeff couldn't find a partner for the event so he fished it alone and though he legally was only allowed to weigh three fish while the two persons teams could weigh a six fish limit he still managed 6th place and cashed a check. So my hat goes off to Jeff for his angling skills."
