Titles
Chris Gasser - 9/11/2005
FOND DU LAC, WI - With all their finishes in the top ten including
one win, the team of Brian Stroven and Dean Evans won the World
Walleye Association Michigan Team Challenge Team Of The Year title.
Earning a point total of 1772 out of a possible 1800 that included
winning the Houghton Lake event, Stroven and Evans won a close points
race by four points or two places in finish over the second place
team of Troy Stachler and Terry Mackillop.
Bill and Bernadine Ayres were named Husband and Wife Team Of The
Year in the WWA Michigan Team Challenge and also placed third overall
in the point standings. Key to the Ayres finishing third and winning
the Husband and Wife Team Of The Year title was their fishing in
the Lake Erie Open Event, which they won. The 400 points earned
for the win replaced a tournament in which they only got 100 show
points, significantly moving them up in the standings.
The next event for the WWA Anglers that have qualified is the East
Regional Championship to be held on the Illinois River out of Henry.
